Overview:
We open to door to deciphering the animation timeline and set key features. Setting keys, adjusting and copying, tweaking the attack and decay and much more. We look at how to get Max to do most of the hard work while we care for the artistic interpretation. Time begins to unravel as we explore the configuration side of animating. A thrid optional day concentrates on making a Short for YouTube or Portfolio.
Location:
Your offices or London or Oxfordshire. You can save money by having the training at your own location, or we can arrange it here or in London. The idea is to provide the best service for you. If you have the software already loaded onto your laptop, then use your own machine.

Intro to Animation:
2 days + 1 optional

Getting a solid understanding of Max is a key objective of the training. Take notes at your own speed, use any training material brought to the sessions and discuss your aspirations with the trainer who is an industry professional.
Course content:
Key frames:
Discover the rules behind the console. Nothing is what it seems in this ultra creative environment. Learn how to model low-poly environments and games assets.
Curves:
This area is just as demanding. Learn about texture pages and UVW mapping in a way not used in standard hi-res 3d. Apply and edit materials at sub-object level and add detail beyond the low poly model resolution.
Auto Key:
Designing levels is a dark art. Hints, tricks and tips for constructing a convincing environment to interact with in your game.
Track View::
A whole new world of mapping and editing UVWs onto your low-poly assets. Learn how to control special materials at sub-object level to work within the rules of games engines.
Time Line:
Work with the time line, copying animations, reverse animation, repeats and stretching
Time Config:
Here we look at the more technical side of the animation, as a whole, designed for a particular output or application. Learn to control the time, speed and frame rates.
Controllers:
Use one thing to control another. Position, Rotation and Scale, all can be animated by many and varied sources that may be in your control, or if you choose, may not.
Constraints:
Limit the behaviour of animated objects by the actions of another. Here we see how to restrict movement to make animation easier to complete.
FFD’s:
Freeform Deformation can be used in many ways to enhance animation, both serious and comical. Think of cartoon distortions of reality and there we have it. Have fun.

Location.

The great advantage of one to one training is that training can be at either your location or ours.
We can travel to anywhere in Europe for your convenience, arrange training rooms in London or you can come here to CUK in Oxfordshire. Your choice.
